Transfer Application Requirements

  • Minimum GPA:
    A minimum college grade point average of 2.4 is expected of transfer applicants.
  • Official Transcripts:
    Applicants must submit official transcripts prior to enrolling, if accepted. Applicants with fewer than 12 hours earned at a college/university after high school graduation must submit a high school transcript, but it may be unofficial.
  • SAT Scores:
    The College of Charleston is test optional through fall 2024. Applicants who have earned 12 or more hours at a college/university after high school graduation do not need to provide high school information.
  • Letters of Recommendation:
    Statement of good standing from prior institution(s) is not required for admission consideration. Personal letters of recommendation are not required.
  • Essay:
    Applicants are given the option to submit a personal statement. However, an essay or personal statement is not required.
  • Application Fee:
    Non-refundable Application Fee – $60.00
  • Interview:
    An interview is not required for admission consideration.
  • Associates Degree Required:
    Optional
  • Other Requirements:

Transfer Credit Policy

    A course from another institution is eligible to be evaluated for transfer credit when the course is graded at least "C" (2.000 on a 4.000 scale).
